About Us

While working at a Japanese company in Yangon, Hsu found that many of her Japanese colleagues yearned for home-cooked meals rather than continually going out to eat at restaurants. Thus Burmese Kitchen was born.

We at Burmese Kitchen aim to provide a culturally immersive experience for tourists to taste Burmese home-cooking, while also providing an opportunity for you to help prepare snacks and dishes. Our goal is to showcase the hospitality and culture of Myanmar, endeavouring to provide a new and unique experience that will be long remembered.

Employing local housewives to create and share traditional Burmese meals in their homes, Burmese Kitchen aims to support them and afford them the chance to demonstrate their knowledge and capabilities.
